ABOUT US

We are Patrick and Stephanie Ericson. We own and operate EH&P Green – a division of Ericson Homes & Properties, LLC. We live in, work in and love the Monadnock Region. We reside in Chesterfield, NH with our three children, Porter (10), Everett (7), and Harlow (4).

How We Got Started / The Launch of EH&P Green

More than a decade ago, Patrick worked for a conventional lawn care company as a supplemental form of income. He grew tired—tired of the noise, the fumes, the vibrations. He knew that there had to be another way. He had an idea; battery-operated lawn care wasn’t even really a thing, yet, but it wouldn’t be long before technology caught up.

Flash forward to 2019, we established Ericson Homes & Properties, LLC with a broad goal of becoming self-employed. At EH&P, we specialize in property management, rentals, renovations and snow removal.

In 2020, Patrick decided to take a road trip to Burlington, Vermont and spent the day with Church Hill Landscaping, an established all-electric, solar-powered lawn care company. After a well-spent day, we were inspired and ready to move forward with our own business plan.

In Spring 2021, it was time to diversify our business and turn Patrick’s idea from a decade ago into reality. We launched EH&P Green in the spring of 2021. Our zero-emission lawn care company’s goal: to reduce emissions and warming temperatures, cut down on the use of commercial fertilizers and weed killer, meet a demand for lawn care in the local area, and help folks passively make an impact.

As residents and community members of Chesterfield, we have always spent a great deal of time at Spofford Lake. Each summer, it is seeming as though bacterial blooms in the lake are getting to be a bigger and bigger problem—causing health concerns not only for people, but our beloved Lake and its entire ecosystem. We became curious and did some research; the type of bacteria causing the problem in Spofford Lake, and many lakes and waterways in the region, is cyanobacteria. According to the CDC, “Cyanobacteria blooms form when cyanobacteria, which are normally found in the water, start to multiply very quickly. Blooms can form in warm, slow-moving waters that are rich in nutrients from sources such as fertilizer runoff.”
